Description:

International Disaster Response Network (IDRN) Level 1 Training is a one-day training course tailored for individuals and groups desiring the knowledge and skills required to facilitate an international Private Sector disaster response. Trainees will be familiarized and provided a basic understanding of disaster statistics, network collaboration, IDRN capabilities and operations. In addition to introducing the primary goals and capabilities of the IDRN, this course also provides individual and family disaster preparedness and survival skills intended to prepare attendees for disaster events affecting their family and place of residence.

Training of Trainers - The IDRN Train the Trainer Course is intended for the most skilled graduates of both IDRN 1100 and 1300. The day long course will prepare the trainees to become trainers in IDRN 1100. Trainees will gain a basic understanding the techniques and strategies behind training an audience in disaster preparedness. Students will have an opportunity to make a short presentation in front of the class as a practical application of the skills they learned. Once the students have completed this course, they will be considered IDRN 1100 Trainers and will have the opportunity to train others in their community or around the world!
