IDRN RAT/LCT is advanced training in disaster assessment and coordination of disaster responses for private sector organizations and individuals. This three-day training event is designed to introduce disaster management to an audience of practitioners who form disaster Rapid Assessment Teams, as well as Local Coordination Teams. This training will increase the audience’s awareness of the nature and management of disasters, leading to better performance in disaster preparedness and response. The course will familiarize attendees in conducting an initial assessment for sudden or slow onset disasters. It includes information on the purpose, types, and elements of an assessment; collecting and analyzing data; preparing recommendations for IDRN response; and submitting assessment reports to the IDRN.
