This training will increase the audience’s awareness of the nature and management of disasters, leading to better performance in disaster preparedness and response. The course will familiarize attendees in conducting an initial assessment for sudden or slow onset disasters. It includes information on the purpose, types, and elements of an assessment; collecting and analyzing data; preparing recommendations for IDRN response; and submitting assessment reports to the IDRN.

There is no cost for attending the training, but attendees will be required to stay at the hosting facility. The specific costs and logistical details will be confirmed after registration for attending this event is completed online. Transportation costs from the Antalya airport to and from the hotel, plus housing and food for the event the evenings of March 3-5 will be less than $250US.
