The HIST Community Transformation module provides an understanding of how to engage and facilitate a transforming process that moves communities from dependency and darkness into dignity and hope. The foundation of the course is Asset Based Community Transformation. HIST addresses worldview, especially as it relates to poverty, breaking the poverty cycle, and the values and belief systems of a holistic worldview. International Disaster Response Network (IDRN) Level 1 Training is a two-day training course tailored for individuals and groups desiring the knowledge and skills required to facilitate an international Private Sector disaster response. Trainees will be familiarized and provided a basic understanding of disaster statistics, network collaboration, IDRN capabilities and operations. In addition to introducing the primary goals and capabilities of the IDRN, this course also provides individual and family disaster preparedness and survival skills intended to prepare attendees for disaster events affecting their family and place of residence.
