Project Funding: Rescue Pakistan

The crisis in Pakistan is already being called one of the worst disasters on record according to the United Nations. However, in stark contrast to the 2010 Haiti earthquakes, the international community and news outlets have provided minimal coverage. Therefore the financial support and volunteer efforts have also been significantly smaller.

HISG is focused on three tangible ways to help the people of Pakistan. HISG is helping facilitate getting medical doctors and surgeons into the impacted area. Also, providing both major water purification systems and individual filtration kits. Finally, much needed supplies, clothing and food are to be shipped to those who have lost almost everything.

- MEDICAL: Initially, we are looking to get qualified medical doctors into Pakistan to work with our network friends already operating in the impacted areas. The approximate cost to get eight available doctors there is approximately $2500 each. Click the button below to make a donation towards getting doctors into action. More doctors are ready, but we are working on this initial group.

- WATER: We have secured four serious water processing "plants" or systems that each can provide clean drinking water to 5,000 people per day. Two of these systems are on their way and two others are waiting on final transportation costs to be addressed. Click below to make a donation towards this critical need and opportunity.

- WATER: We have access to personalized water filtration systems that can serve an entire family for approximately $40 each. These units are currently in China and ready to ship. Use the button below to provide one or more single-family water kits.

- SUPPLIES: We have two containers full of new clothing, shoes and other important supplies ready to ship. The value of the payload of these units is conservatively estimated to be $450,000. We are looking to pay for the final part of the shipping costs. Click on the Supplies button below to help provide funding to get these supplies shipped into the disaster zone.

- FOOD: We have local networks already helping deliver food to feed a family for one month. This is a direct and proven path to have an immediate impact on those devastated by the flooding. With all shipping and distributing costs factored in, $60 will provide enough food to feed a common family for one month. Click below to donate any amount to this effort.
