Founders and directors of HISG - Kay Kizo Hiramine Jr., Mike McCausland, Michael Mastrodonato, Rob Mabary - share "snapshots" of HISG's desire to bring hope and help to widows and orphans and others suffering from man-made or natural disasters around the globe. The symbolism of the first HISG board meeting on September 10, 2001, empasizes the need of a movement which can adapt to change. HISG is actively seeking relationsips with partners by collaborating to multiply the effects of shared capabilities as the way to transform lives/countries. Using the HIST model (Holistic Integrated Sustainable Transformation) and IDR model (International Disaster Response) as a blueprint and a road map, HISG is working in eighty nations to use their resources and "tools" for lasting change.
