Chad Wells and Water Sanitation
One of the village leaders pumping water from the new well.
Chad,
2010
HISG is working with a team in the Central African nation of Chad to drill wells in villages that have no access to clean water. We are also helping provide training in water sanitation and hygiene, because in many cases, local communities are so desperate for water that whether or not it is safe to drink is often a secondary concern. This two-part program is increasing the available supply of clean water, and reducing the spread of water-borne illnesses. It is also having a profound effect on the people; many of them have been inspired to work together on more projects and address some of the other challenges in their communities. If you would like to hear more about how HISG is helping people who are suffering from a lack of clean water, please contact us.
